About My needs
The Pleasure of Giving
Why tell you about my life in this way? Sharing things that have informed my existence or created this reality has relevance to my current requests because this is the truth of how I experience my life and my needs.
My requests are about having resources flow through us in ways we can generate. In this society currently that generally requires or is easiest using money. Even though the use of money can create a sense of separation rather than connection that I do not prefer, I am a part of this system, even while playing in establishing a new way of distributing wealth, so I accept, thankfully, money.
My need is for you to consider gifting as a means of sharing resources, showing appreciation, and mutually supporting one another. I see this as such a heartwarming, gentle and uplifting manner of engagement.
In my life I have always trusted the exquisite grace of life. I have felt cared for, cared about and supported. Even when living in significant poverty I found joy in sharing, caring and giving. I am willing to receive the gifts the universe wishes to give me. This means in all its forms, including you and what you choose to do.
My request is that you consider giving to me and through me creating more beauty in the world, more ideas, and also to
supporting the nonviolent global liberation movement of which I am committing 80% of whatever you give to me. I feel my body expand when I speak this into the machine and it types these words for me. I trust the universe provides. I am willing to continue as long as it is mine to continue. I am willing to give freely what I create.
I have always felt uncomfortable with pricing and charging and costing and. My worth cannot really have a monetary value in my mind. There is something schizophrenic about that.
Instead I choose to trust in Life and the generosity of Life. And you are a part of Life, you are a part of this life here, with me. I’m so happy to know that.
There is this whole thing about babies oriented to trusting life and to giving and receiving based on needs in a straightforward manner. That inspires confidence in our innate abilities and joy in giving and receiving.
I would love it if you would receive this book lovingly. I know that LoveLove, while a playful term of endearment and a symbol of the type of life that I’ve lived maybe redundant, to say the least.
However, it does provide a sweet pleasure in the connecting and understanding of the word when sharing it. I was gonna say lovelovingly…
There are new ideas in this book. I think that’s what excites me most. That ideas have coalesced in my mind, and I want to share them with you. With the hopes that the ideas would foster more togetherness, cooperation, and the possibility of deeper and broader communications between us. I look forward to engaging with your thoughts and perhaps even with your generative mind (See LoveLove- generative mind).
It is my pleasure to offer this creation to you without assigning a cost to it. What a relief to not assign a cost.
And to share with you what I’ve learned about the maternal gifting economy. Because I would like to have enough to meet my needs for housing, food, rest, creativity and in this society at this point much of it depends on having some money. I hope you will consider giving generously.
